Went with a group of friends and had a great experience! Seafood is fresh and priced fair for the boardwalk location. Crabs are seasoned well and the kids enjoyed the corn. The steamer pots had plenty of food to share...looking forward to returning next season!

The food was ridiculously expensive. I told our waitress my husband had a seafood allergy. She thought it would be cute to bring him a dirty crab mallet with old meat on it, not realizing what would happen if he had touched it. The corn was brown and green. The back of the restaurant has a kitchen exhaust fan that excretes disgusting old oil and food into a bucket. This place is a big NO from me.

I can't believe some of the reviews on here. I mean, some people are deducting stars for bugs outside? You do realize Mug and Mallet have no control over mother nature, right?
We had an awesome experience! We thought the seafood was priced well and delicious!!! Ok, so the corn isn't the best. I didn't come to a seafood restaurant for a $1 ear of corn thankfully! Our experience was awesome, from the food, atmosphere to the server.
