It's been a fabulous adventure since we purchased the land in 1978, which then was a corn field. In 1981 we started building the Big Barn on the Bay. It took 6 months to build. The gala Grand Opening was in June of 1982 and some 1800 people enjoyed the festivities. Throughout the years we would travel and find awesome artifacts for our customers to enjoy each season.
We offer the best when it comes to crabs. You can grab some to go in our famous Wooden Caboose, or dine in with us in the Barn or at Sneaky Pete's overlooking the bay. Either choice is a welcome one, we just want to offer the best in service and a smile on your face as you enjoy the meal we have planned for you.
So Come Make Memories With Us! And we'll make sure it's one you won't forget.

Hooper's Crab House
My family and I visited Hooper’s during our first trip to OC and it we definitely enjoyed it. First, there’s ample parking with a mini golf cart shuttle that takes you between the restaurant and the extended lots so you don’t have to walk (we didn’t have to use it. but the thought of convenience was appreciated). The staff were all very friendly from the host desk to the servers. Our server was awesome, even gave us free cups as a souvenir to bring back to with us to Jersey. We were seated outside, which is enclosed for safety and heated for comfort. The food was so fresh and the drinks were so good and reasonably priced. Overall definitely recommend visiting Hooper’s anytime you’re in OC. We’ll be back for sure!

Hooper's Crab House
I had a really great time here! I got the clam chowder which was delicious and the calamari. The location itself is very beautiful during the day and the service was outstanding! If you’re going for dinner definitely go with time because we waited an hour on a busy Saturday. Parking also gets filled but they have additional parking in the back. They do not take reservations so keep that in mind when also planning dinner. They also have a little souvenir shop which was pretty cute! I would definitely recommend going and enjoying their all you can eat crab and soft baked bread 😊

I would like to be honest and give this establishment 3.5 stars, but alas. Anyways, my fiancée and I went here on our most recent visit to Ocean City. The interior had its own unique identity with several items from different time periods.
As for the food, what can I say. It was good for seafood. We got a combo of crab legs, blue crabs, and a lobster. It included corn that was un-shucked. I was shocked that it was still in its husk, but the corn was cooked beautifully. The crabs of course were good. I prefer crab legs to blue crabs since they are easier to eat. Now for the lobster, it could have been done better. It gave me a problem just trying to get the meat out of the tail. What my problem was was that we were not given the proper tools to eat our shellfish. We only had a nutcracker, but that can only go so far. We had to ask multiple times for a crab knife and mallet. The lobster tail was a pain to get out; the claw meat had the texture of ricotta cheese, and the knuckle gave me a gnarly cut on my thumb.
Now the service. I will give some leeway since it was the 4th of July weekend and they were busy, but it could not have been that hard to give us butter for the bread, seasoning for the shellfish meat, and especially a BANDAGE for a customer who is bleeding. I asked our server 3 or 4 times for a bandage and still nothing. I had to go to the gift shop just to get one. As least have some sympathy for an injury.
Now if you are a tourist who wants good seafood, I recommend this place. Just do not go on a holiday weekend.
